Birth Wilbert Ludwig Krueger was the first child of Otto Krueger and Lavina Linder. He was born in Berlin, Ontarionon October 6, 1903. THE DEPARTED ------------ Bert Krueger     In the sudden death of Bert Krueger, aged 18, at the home of his parents, 147 Waterloo st., last evening, Kitchener, loses a well beloved young man. Mr. Krueger was well and about his work a few days previous to his [and (sad?)] demise. Besides his sorrowing parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto C. Krueger, he is survived by three brothers and four sisters, all of whom are younger than he. The funeral will take place from the residence on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Birth Violet Charlotte Krueger was the second child of Otto and Lavina and the first daughter. She was born December 21, 1904. Marriage She married Frank Luther Ernst in Kitchener on October 29, 1923. Frank, born in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, was the son of Arthur L. Ernst and Emma Lemcke. The marriage that ended in divorce. Obituary of Violet C. Krueger Ernst     Mrs. Violet C. Ernst, 59, of 16 Layton Ave, died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.     Born Dec. 21, 1904, in Kitchener, she was the former Violet Krueger, a daughter of Otto C. Krueger, of Kitchener and the late Lavina Linder, who predeceased her in 1961.     She was a member of Highland Road United Church and was employed at Cluett-Peabody Limited for the past nine years.     Surviving besides her father are a son, Frederick D. of Kitchener; two brothers, Irvin L. Krueger and Homer L. Krueger, both of Kitchener, three sisters, Mrs. Grafton (Myrtle) Wright of London, Ont, Mrs. Doris Murphy and Mrs. Reginald (Olive) Amy, both of Kitchener, and three grandchildren.     She was predeceased by two brothers Carl and Wilbert.     The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home after noon on Sunday. The service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. A.E. Holley will officiate. Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Association will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

Birth Myrtle Elvira Krueger, born June 25, 1908, was the third child in the family. The date is recorded in the Vital Statistics of 1908 and in her obituary. Myrtle was married to Grafton Wright on July 9, 1940.

Wright, 60, of 463 Jarvis St., London, who died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. George W. Payne at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, London. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, London.     The former Myrtle Elvira Krueger, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Krueger and was born in Kitchener June 25, 1908.     She was a member of Zion United Church, London, and chief operator of the Bell Telephone Co., London.     Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Irvin and Homer, both of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Doris) Murphy and Mrs. Reginald (Olive) Amy, both of Kitchener.     The body will be at her home until Wednesday morning.

Birth Carl Otto Krueger was born on July 26, 1910, the fourth child in the family. Carl and his future wife, Annette Missere, signed "The Book of Remembrance" at the funeral of his grandfather George H. Linder in 1939. The marriage of Carl O. Krueger and Annette Missere took place on June 8, 1940.

Carl O. Krueger     Carl O. Krueger, 50, of 87 Margaret Ave., died at his home Tuesday following a heart attack.     Born in Kitchener, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto C. Krueger, he was an employee of Cluett-Peabody and Company of Canada Ltd. He was formerly employed with J.E. Weigand and Company Ltd.     His marriage to Annette Misere took place in Kitchener in 1940.     Mr. Krueger was a member of St. Mary's RC Church and the Holy Name Society.     Surviving are his parents, his mother being the former Lavina Linder; his wife; two brothers, Irvin and Homer Krueger, both of Kitchener; and four sisters, Mrs. Violet Ernst, Mrs. Doris Murphy and Mrs. Reginald (Olive) Amy, all of Kitchener, and Mrs. Grafton (Myrtle) Wright of London.     The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the Holy Name Society will lead recital of the rosary Thursday at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said there at 9:30 a.m., Friday, before removal to St. Mary's RC Church for requiem high mass at 10 o'clock. Doris married Norman Murphy on August 24, 1940.

Norman died on June 26, 1956. A brief death notice appeared in the K-W Record on Saturday June 30, 1956, page 5. No obituary accompanied the death notice in the Record:

Birth Homer Lanson Krueger was born October 31, 1917 and was the seventh child of Lavina Linder and Otto Krueger. Homer married Elizabeth (Betty) Margaret Forbes on August 5, 1952.

KRUEGER, Homer L. -- At K-W Hospital, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 1985, following a lengthy illness, Homer Krueger, of 11 Reinhart St., Kitchener, aged 68 years.     Mr. Krueger was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and was employed with Globe Stamping Co. Ltd. for many years until his retirement.     Beloved husband of the former Elizabeth (Betty) Forbes; dear brother of Irvin, Mrs. Doris Murphy and Mrs. Reginald (Olive) Amy, all of Kitchener; uncle of John Amy and Joan Murphy.     Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Birth Olive Mary Blanche Krueger was born on July 9, 1920, the eighth and last child of Lavina Linder and Otto Krueger. Reginald Edward Amy was the second child of Oliver Amy and Lillian (Lillie) Marth, born in Elmira on May 5, 1917. Reg and two brothers enlisted in WWII and he saw service in England, France and Belgium where he was wounded. The couple were wed on September 7, 1946. Olive and Reg have one son, John, who married and they have two children.

Death

Olive Amy died at age 85 on Friday April 21, 2006. Her obituary appeared in the K-W Record on Monday April 23, 2006, page B8:

AMY, Olive (nee Krueger) -- Passed away, peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, April 21, 2006, at Freeport Health Center of Grand River Hospital, in her 86th year, after a brief illness.     Beloved wife of Reginald Amy for almost 60 years. Loving mother of John Amy and his wife Ingrid of Mississauga. Dear grandmother of Kristen and Matthew. Survived by her brothers-in-law, Bruce (Eleanor), Bill (Flo), Paul (Marion), Don (Jean), Ron (Bettyan); sisters-in-law, Irene, Betty Krueger, Joan Woods (Bruce), Mary Strome and her husband Glen, Olive is also survived by her niece, Joan Myrphy.     Predeceased by her brothers, Irvin, Carl, Homer and sisters, Violet, Myrtle, and Doris.
